Yeah it's pretty bad ass dude. I love shit like this. Now, if I could just work up enough nerve to cut into the large antique saw blade I have from the 30's, I may have some good steel to work with. I just cannot make myself do it though.
I was going to suggest going to flea market and looking for a vintage beater saw you could work with, but nowadays, cheap ass China crap is more the rule than exception. But you never know - might get lucky and find a project blade you can work with.
Or maybe a local lawn mower service can supply you a worn out mower blade, those are pretty good steel.
As a mechanic, that almost gave me a chubby.
