Top U.S. Army Marksman Explains Why Gun Nuts Shoot Better

Master Sgt. Scott Satterlee is really good at shooting things. He’s a member of the U.S. Army’s elite 1st Special Forces Group based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state. He’s also a nationally ranked competitive precision rifle shooter—and one of the military’s best marksmen.

You wouldn’t guess any of this if you met him. Satterlee is soft-spoken and humble—to the point of almost being self-deprecating. Though confident in his abilities, he doesn’t brag.

Recent hit films such as Zero Dark Thirty, Lone Survivor and American Sniper have put America’s special operations community in the spotlight like never before. It’s an odd turn of events for a community often called “the silent professionals.”

Satterlee says he ordinarily wouldn’t talk to a reporter. But another soldier encouraged him to share his story.

Been a little busy

Sorry my faithful readers... I've got 10lbs of shit in a 5lb sack at the moment with the job. Nobody ever said it'd be easy, only that I could do it. Managing, sourcing, and shipping material for 3 shutdowns at the same time is hell on wheels this time of year.

Hang with me, I'll get it back and going soon.

In the meantime, here's a treat for all you boilermakers, welders, fitters, yard hands, inspectors, contractors, and other industry folks. You know what's up...

"Ninja Day" is an actual holiday in Japan

February 22 is "National Ninja Day." The Japanese holiday isn't an official day off. That is, at least not for those unable to slip out of work.

Why 2/22? It's a word play, because in Japanese the number two is "ni." You know, kind of like the "ni" in "ninja" (忍者), but with "nin" or 忍 referring to endurance, patience or restraint.

WATCH: Man Openly Carries AR-15 Into Police Station; Check Out Police Reaction

Upset about a recent police-involved fatal shooting of a family’s pit bull, a pair of activists video recorded themselves walking into a police station in Jackson, Michigan, openly carrying an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle to file a Freedom of Information Act request.

Reactions to the video, uploaded on Dec. 10, so far have run the gamut, with some supporting the activist and others criticizing him due to the perceived spike in threats to police officers recently.

“I’d like to file a FOIA request,” one of the men says in the video.

BREAKING: Texas Open Carry & Campus Carry Bills Pass Committee

After a long day of debate and passionate public testimony from both sides, the Texas Senate State Affairs Committee has voted to recommend that the Texas Senate pass both SB 11, the “campus carry” bill, and SB 17, the “open carry” bill. Both bills now head to the full Texas Senate for consideration.

The vote came just before 6:00 pm Central Time on Thursday.

The vote was 7-2, on partisan lines, for both bills, with the two Democrats on the committee, Sen. Rodney Ellis (D-Houston) and Sen. Judith Zaffirini (D-Laredo) voting against. Republicans on the committee who voted in favor of the bills are Committee Chair Sen. Joan Huffman (R-Houston), Sen. Brian Birdwell (R-Granbury), Sen. Brandon Creighton (R-Conroe), Sen. Craig Estes (R-Wichita Falls), Sen. Troy Fraser (R-Horseshoe Bay), Sen. Jane Nelson (R-Flower Mound), and Sen. Charles Schwertner (R-Georgetown).

I have a friend who was there and also spoke to law makers...

This is his bit below:

Senator Ellis asked how law enforcement was supposed to know who was supposed to be carrying guns and who wasn't. Here's my response,

"I figured it out at 19 in Iraq. If they are ditching their gun, trying to hide it, or shooting at you, that's a pretty good indicator he's your guy. It's not as hard as you think."

They didn't like it and cut me off for time.

Mars whistleblower reveals more of his covert military service

Randy Cramer (aka Captain Kaye, USMC s.s.) who claims to have spent 17 years on Mars and three years serving on a secret space fleet has just released his first newsletter. It has his responses to a number of questions from the general public sent to him by email or Facebook. For those that have followed the Captain Kaye material, there will be fascinating details on issues covered more generally in earlier interviews/articles. Below are some of the highlights from his newsletter and their significance.

The most pertinent information in my opinion is that Randy is still acting under direct orders from his military superiors – a brigadier general and colonel serving in a covert branch of the U.S. Marine Corps called “special section.” This was covered in my last skype interview with him. In the newsletter he says:

Col. Jamieson put me in touch with a man identifying himself as Brigadier General Smythe.  General Smythe gave me a fairly long-winded explanation about the “soulless pricks” (his words) on “the Committee” that he was supposed to answer to, and the serious disagreements by USMC s.s. brass with said Committee.  Without elaborating, I was satisfied with his explanation of the situation on his end.  When he personally gave me the go-ahead (he said, and I quote, “I’m giving you the go-ahead to go public with everything you know…”), I asked, “Everything?” and he said, “EVERYTHING!”, and then we had a deal.  As long as I had the assurance that my direct chain of command was behind me and that I had no restrictions on truthful content, I knew it was for real – and that HE was for real.  No one – not even an enemy – would want me to do that, or tell me to do that.  He even said I could use his name, which I just did, to let the people who need to know, that I answer to him, and only to him… and if they didn’t like it, they could take it up with him, or the CMC.

Obama sends Congress request for military force against IS

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama on Wednesday asked Congress to authorize military force against the Islamic State group and urged lawmakers to "show the world we are united in our resolve" to counter the direct threat that militants could pose to the United States.

The president elected on a promise to end America's wars wants a joint resolution in response to the swift rise of extremists who are imposing violent rule across Iraq and Syria and have killed U.S. and allied hostages, as seen in graphic videos.

Wait a minute...

Your friends armed them up with tons of weapons to help overthrow Assad in Syria.

Your friends killed Gaddafi in Libya because he wasn't cool with you running guns through his country to get them to your friends in Syria.

Your friends supported the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt that got their asses handed to them by their own countrymen. Hell, you even gave them jets and tanks.

And now, you want to ask for help fighting them to "show the world" again how big of a fuck up you and your brainchildren are? Boy, you are some kind of speshul aren't you?

BREAKING: Constitutional Carry Bill Will Not Be Heard In Texas Senate Thanks To Open Carry Activists

A Texas Senate committee will hold the first public hearings on open carry and campus carry legislation on Thursday, but thanks to the antics of attention-starved Open Carry Tarrant County (OCTC) and their leader, cop-hating anarchist Kory Watkins, a bill arguing for constitutional carry—carrying openly or concealed without a permit—won’t even be heard.

Say What? U.S. Senator Claims Any Gun Owner With Magazines Holding More than 10 Rounds is “Arming Against the Government.”

Radical politicians who hate the 2nd Amendment, the right to keep and bear arms, have long striven to infringe on the right by illegally limiting firearm magazines to 10 rounds or less. They’ve successfully gotten away with the infringement in New York and now seek to see the same infringement occur in all 50 states.

To assist with their new push, they’re using language that is nasty in tone and suggestive in ways that is certain to turn heads amongst the public. Especially the millions and millions of gun owners in America. In fact, one Senator is now claiming that the only reason you would own a magazine with a capacity of more than 10 rounds is to arm against the government.

Tom Cotton Heated Over Gitmo: Only Problem There is Too Many Empty Beds, Terrorists Can Rot In Hell

Is having balls coming back into the mainstream for political leaders? I fucking hope so... Atta boy Senator Cotton!

That's nuts

A friend of mine filled up in Missouri City TX using his Kroger fuel points.

I don't mind paying $2.00 and up per gallon if it helps keep me employed. I know folks are loving these low gas prices, but it's hurting American working families. The Shale boom hit, way too many people got hired, and new drilling companies popped up everywhere overnight. OPEC wanted to get rid of them all by doing what they did with holding out production. There is also the theory of the US being punished by the House of Saud for the continuation of US talks with Iran about their nuclear capabilities. I have had several customers tell me that they have cut back on ordering for their rigs. It shows in their Purchase Orders too. We used to order enough mud gates and butterfly valves for 10 rigs at a time. Now it's been scaled back to 3 at a time. That's quite a big difference...

I do know this much - Oil production naturally declines and oil companies need to invest in new production to meet ever growing consumption demand, but they don't invest when their cash flows decline as well.

NYPD Has a Plan to Magically Turn Anyone It Wants Into a Felon

On Wednesday, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton urged state legislators to consider increasing the penalty for resisting arrest from a misdemeanor to a felony. The change, he argued, would help New Yorkers "get around this idea that you can resist arrest. You can't." It would also give cops an easy way to turn victims of their own worst impulses into the worst class of criminal.

In theory, a resisting arrest charge allows the state to further punish suspects who endanger the safety of police officers as they're being apprehended; in practice, it gives tautological justification to cops who enjoy roughing people up. Why did you use force against that suspect, officer? Because she was resisting arrest. How do I know you're telling the truth? Because I charged her with it, sir.

Story here

*********************************************************************************

You always have the right to resist if you feel something is unjust, no matter what the Revenuers think. It is your duty as an American to resist. That's what we do.

Another thought... "a resisting arrest charge allows the state to further punish suspects who endanger the safety of police officers as they're being apprehended" They will do whatever they can to add more bullshit charges that extort more money out of you or exhaust more of your lifespan behind bars, bet on it. This is because they feel their safety is being endangered while wearing body armor around people who aren't as they are beating you into submission, Serf.

Westerners join Iraqi Kurds fighting Islamic State

SINJAR, Iraq — As Kurdish fighters gathered around a fire in this damp, frigid mountain town in northwestern Iraq, exhausted from battling the Islamic State group, a surprising recruit wearing a tactical vest with the words "Christ is Lord" scribbled on it joined them.

The fighter, with a sniper rifle slung over his shoulder and Rambo-styled bandanna around his head, is 28-year-old Jordan Matson from Sturtevant, Wisconsin, a former U.S. Army soldier who joined the Kurds to fight the extremist group now holding a third of Iraq and neighboring Syria.

After ISIS execution, angry King Abdullah quotes Clint Eastwood to U.S. lawmakers

Members of the House Armed Services Committee met with Jordan's King Abdullah Tuesday not long after news broke that ISIS had burned to death a Jordanian pilot captured in the fight against the terrorist group. In a private session with lawmakers, the king showed an extraordinary measure of anger — anger which he expressed by citing American movie icon Clint Eastwood.

"He said there is going to be retribution like ISIS hasn't seen," said Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr., a Marine Corps veteran of two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, who was in the meeting with the king. "He mentioned 'Unforgiven' and he mentioned Clint Eastwood, and he actually quoted a part of the movie."
