* WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE REGION OVERNIGHT...AND CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY. THIS ACTIVITY WILL BE ACCOMPANYING A VIGOROUS LOW PRESSURE STORM SYSTEM ADVANCING EAST THROUGH THE PLAINS. RAIN AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAINFALL WILL BE COMMON ALONG THE INTERSTATE 10 CORRIDOR...AND 2 TO 4 INCHES FROM CENTRAL LOUISIANA INTO INTERIOR SOUTHEAST TEXAS. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
