Fresno-area mom uses high-heeled shoe to scare off home intruder

A single mother of three says she used her high-heeled shoe to scare off a man who broke into her home in Hanford early last Monday.

Kings County sheriff's deputies were able to arrest the suspect who nearly got away.

It was the middle of the night when the mother says she heard creaking and footsteps inside her home. That's when she grabbed the nearest weapon she could find -- a high-heeled shoe. The back door was slightly open and there was noise coming from the kitchen.

I applaud the mama for standing her ground and protecting what is rightfully hers. However, this could have gotten very ugly, very fast. In that moment, when you engage a stranger or intruder in your house and you're armed with a high heeled shoe, you'd better be prepared to deal with the defense of said high heeled shoe. Most criminals are going to see you standing there with a shoe and laugh at you as they remove you of your incisors via a punch or rifle butt. The lady was lucky the illegal invader didn't have any fight in him.

A Frisco area dad did the same thing this Fresno area mom did.
